In the spring of 2014, the Farmington Memorial Committee with permission of the Riverside Cemetery Association installed the stately flagpole with dedication plaque in the cemetery. The flagpole sits on the edge of the hill overlooking the Farmington River Valley.  The flagpole is visible for the Memorial Day ceremonies held in the cemetery every year.
