Counseling
Farmington Social Services (FCS) provides a variety of social service programs for its residents who are experiencing financial, physical and psycho-social hardships. Social workers are available to assess needs, advise on available options, provide referrals and support and serve as an advocate. Social Workers on staff are available for crisis intervention.
The mission of Youth Services is to promote positive youth development through the coordination of direct services and activities. The staff works with parents, schools, police and the community to provide support and services.

Wheeler Clinic is a nonprofit with multiple locations and offers assessment, group therapy and medication therapy.
Based in West Hartford, Connecticut, the Bridge Family Center is a comprehensive, regional nonprofit agency that provides a broad range of services for children and families throughout the Greater Hartford area. Founded in 1969, the Bridge offers a safe haven for children and families in crisis as well as positive, healthy intervention and prevention programs.
Bristol Hospital Counseling Center and Bristol Hospital - Crisis Services (Emergency)
Since 1960, the Bristol Hospital Counseling Center has been committed to providing quality mental health and substance use recovery services to the greater Bristol community. The highly trained, skilled professional therapists of Bristol Hospital's Counseling Center provide counseling to individual adults, couples and families who seek assistance for a wide variety of issues. Problems range from temporary difficulties to complex long-term problems that affect emotional and physical health. Requests for services are accepted directly from area residents or from physicians and other healthcare professionals. Note: Evaluations in urgent/emergency situations are conducted in the Bristol Hospital Emergency Department by 'Crisis Services.'
The Cove Center for Grieving Children
The Cove provides family and school-based programs utilizing the peer support group concept for helping children, teens and families work with their unresolved grief due to the death of someone significant in their lives. The Cove also provides professional development and training for adults working with children and teens.
