Several transportation options are available to seniors who either don't drive or don't have access to a car.

Dial A Ride

Farmington Community Services manages Dial-A-Ride transportation for our service area of Farmington, Unionville and Avon. Medical appointments have priority and may be reserved two weeks in advance. All other appointments can be reserved 24-48 hours in advance. Service may be canceled during severe weather. Once registered for the program, riders can call (860) 793-3444 to schedule appointments.  

ADA Paratransit

Persons may apply for "ADA" services under the Americans with Disabilities Act. This covers persons who by reason of disability or infirmity cannot access public transportation within ¾ mile of their residence. For service to West Hartford, Hartford or downtown New Britain please call (860) 247-5329
