211 is the front line service to help with emergency housing.

Friendship Service Center

The Friendship Center is a place where the hungry are fed, the homeless are sheltered, and everyone is welcome. We believe that every act of generosity and kindness can transform the world for those around us.We provide a continuum of services for men, women and children who are poor and homeless in Central Connecticut. These services range from basic outreach to those still living on the streets, to emergency shelter for families and individuals, and transitional living and permanent supportive housing options for those who are homeless. We offer meals for the community each day in the Tomasso Family Community Dining Room and work to prevent homelessness through the Emergency Needs Program.

St Vincent DePaul Mission of Bristol

The Bristol Homeless Shelter is a 25 bed emergency shelter for men, women and children which provides food, shelter, case-management and referral services. The goal of the Bristol Homeless Shelter is to provide temporary emergency shelter to persons experiencing homelessness and to provide them with a safe, stable base from which to get and keep a job, enable children to return to school and to provide relief from the emotional and moral violence that often accompanies homelessness.

Prudence Crandall Center

Prudence Crandall Center is a leader in our state’s efforts to reduce the devastating impact of domestic violence in the lives of victims, their children, and our community. Today PCC is one of only a few programs in the country offering the full spectrum of shelter, housing and support services needed to offer practical, long-term solutions to the challenges faced by victims, helping them heal and move forward to safe, self-sufficient lives, free of violence.
