- Poll workers must be registered to vote in the State of Connecticut, unless they are 16 or 17 years old. (If you are 17 years old,
but will be 18 years of age by November's general election, you will need to register to vote in order to work).
- All positions require excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills are helpful.
- A pleasant disposition and a positive attitude is a must. Teamwork is also an essential part of the job.
- The shift is from 5:15 am to approximately 9:00 pm. We do have some half-day shifts available.
- These positions include training and are paid positions (for training time & time worked at the polls).
- PLEASE NOTE: According to CT law, poll workers are prohibited from performing services for any political party or candidate on Election Day,
and from appearing at any party headquarters prior to 8pm on Election Day.
