Hindu SwayamSevak Sangh USA (HSS) heartily invites you to celebrate, Raksha-Bandhan – one of the most sacred traditions in Hindu philosophy commemorating those who sacrifice their lives for the protection of society – with the Farmington Police Department.
We will celebrate the event by tieing a symbolic thread on wrists of Police personnel. Such thread represents our heartfelt gratitude and well-wishes for the safety of those who put their lives on the line for the protection of society. We intend to memorialize Police Department’s service along with positive projection of our proud tradition.
Everyone, adult and children of all ages, is welcome to join. Please let us know here if you plan to join. The event will take just half hour and Rakhi (thread) and sweets will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to meet Police men and women and proudly explain our tradition!
